Seminar highlights 50 years of the Paris Agreement

The Su That (Truth) National Political Publishing House, in coordination with the Vietnam Association of Historical Sciences and the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organisations, held a scientific seminar entitled “50 years of the Paris Agreement - A Historical Landmark” on November 29.

The seminar was held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Paris Agreement, on ending the war and restoring peace in Vietnam (January 27, 1973-2023). The event is considered a victory of the country's diplomatic front during the war against the US imperialists, a milestone in the golden history of Vietnam's revolutionary diplomacy.

At the seminar, opinions and presentations of scientists, managers and experts, agreed that the victory of the Paris Agreement reflected the spirit of determination, to fight to defend the truth, and gain independence and freedom, for the whole Vietnamese people.

The victory of the Paris Agreement has been giving the whole Party, people and army more confidence to successfully implement the goal of the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, on foreign affairs and international cooperation; improve integration capacity, effectively implement international commitments and free trade agreements; integrated with socio-economic development plans and programmes; further promoting cultural diplomacy, making practical contributions to strongly promoting the image and strength of the country.
