COVID-19: New cases on November 11 top 8,162

Vietnam recorded 8,133 cases of COVID-19 in 55 localities during 24 hours from 4pm November 10 to 4pm November 11, including 17 imported cases, according to the Ministry of Health.

Ho Chi Minh City continued to record the highest number of infections with 1,185, followed by the neighbouring province of Dong Nai with 930 and Tay Ninh with 656.

The national tally has surpassed one million, standing at 1,000,897.

According to the Ministry of Health’s report, 3,367 patients nationwide are in serious conditions, with 301 requiring invasive ventilation and 13 on life support (ECMO).

On the day, the country saw 84 deaths from the disease. The death toll now hits 22,849.

A further 1,894 patients were given the all-clear, taking the total number of recoveries to 845,948.

By November 10, the country had injected over 95.57 million doses of vaccines to date, with more than 32.07 million people now fully inoculated.
