Thanks to this service, importers can now submit documents, pay fees, check the progress of documents and be informed of decisions through the online facility.
The service is scheduled to be connected with the national one-door customs mechanism of the Vietnam General Department of Customs from October 1.
Speaking at the ceremony, the MoH’s Medical Equipment and Construction Department Nguyen Minh Tuan said every month, the ministry receives registrations for the import of medical equipment from over 700 enterprises, causing several difficulties in administrative management.
The service would help to reduce expenses and time, and increase transparency and publicity in the management of health administration, he noted.
Service level 4 is the highest of the four administrative service levels in the country as well as the healthcare sector, aiming to simplify administrative procedures and set up convenient services for medical equipment importers throughout the country.
It assists people, enterprises and management units to perform administrative procedures, submit requested forms, handle documents and payments and receive results, only requiring the use of a computer connected to the Internet.
