Viet Nam’s expanded visa exemption policy has made it easier for European tourists to explore the country, with travel platform Agoda reporting a 59% surge in destination searches from Eastern Europe. Among them, the island paradise of Phu Quoc has emerged as the most sought-after destination, with searches soaring by 113% year on year.

Searches by Chinese tourists for Viet Nam in July and August rose by 90% compared to the same period last year thanks to improved air connections between the two countries, according to the online travel platform Agoda.

Da Lat in the central highland province of Lam Dong has been ranked among the five most affordable summer gateways in Asia.

Thanks to its natural landscapes, cultural identity and increasingly convenient travel connections, Viet Nam has made it into the top five most searched destinations by European tourists for summer 2025. Cities such as Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City and Ha Noi have become top choices for international visitors to the S-shaped country.
