Viet Nam launched a national programme aimed at protecting and supporting children in the digital environment during the 2026-2030 period, as authorities warned of growing online risks facing young internet users.

To help bridge the gap in geography and living conditions, many schools have brought meaningful Mid-Autumn joy to children in the highlands.

In 2025, the theme for World Drowning Prevention Day, observed annually on July 25, is “Drowning can happen to anyone, but is completely preventable”, aiming to raise public awareness and increase actions to protect human lives from drowning accidents, especially among children.

Nearly 800 teenagers and children from Huong Viet and Huong Lap communes, in Huong Hoa district and from Seponh district, Savannakhet province, Laos, enjoyed the Mid-Autumn Festival on August 3.
