Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang is leading a Vietnamese delegation to the Viet Nam Leadership Programme (VLP) 2026 at Columbia University in New York.

On the occasion of the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV), Professor Nguyen Thi Lien Hang, Director of the Weatherhead East Asian Institute at Columbia University in the US, has shared in-depth assessments of the CPV’s leadership role and the particular significance of such a major event for Viet Nam’s development trajectory.

The President emphasised that bilateral cooperation in the field of education and training has shown positive signals, with Columbia University being a major partner that has maintained a strong and fruitful relationship with Viet Nam over the years.
