Relations between Viet Nam and China are entering an unprecedented period of historic opportunity, according to Shi Zhongjun, Secretary-General of the ASEAN–China Centre (ACC).

The Party, State, and people of Viet Nam consistently views the development of relations with China as a strategic choice and a top priority in its foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, and multilateralisation and diversification of external relations, Deputy Prime Minister Bui Thanh Son has affirmed.
