Viet Nam and Australia have issued a Joint Statement on Deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) Central Committee and President To Lam held talks with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in Canberra on August 11 morning (local time), affirming that Viet Nam always attaches importance to Australia’s role and position, and the close and trusted Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries as well.

The bill was presented by the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs at Council of Ministers meeting on July 27 before being forwarded to the Parliament for consideration.

Party General Secretary and State President To Lam hosted a reception for visiting Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of the Republic of Korea (RoK) Kim Yun-duk in Ha Noi on July 30, showing a desire to further strengthen the bilateral relationship.

Bui Minh Thanh said the elevation of Viet Nam–France relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership ushered in a new phase of development in the bilateral ties, reflecting deepening political trust and a shared commitment to building a peaceful, cooperative and sustainable future.

At a meeting with Martin Briens, Secretary-General of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, in Ha Noi on July 8, Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung highlighted the positive developments in bilateral ties since the two countries elevated their relationship. He noted that Viet Nam–France cooperation has generated tangible benefits for both peoples while contributing to peace, stability, dialogue, and cooperation in the world.

New Zealand attaches great importance to developing its Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with Viet Nam and stands ready to work closely with the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) to unlock the full potential of bilateral cooperation, New Zealand Ambassador to Viet Nam Caroline Beresford has told Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Manh Cuong.

Hang praised the development of the Viet Nam–Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, saying that Australia is an important partner and trusted friend of Viet Nam in the region.
