Retail fuel prices in Viet Nam were reduced from 15:00 on May 28 following a decision issued by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

In recent days, amid concerns over rising petrol and oil prices and the possibility of supply disruptions, people in many localities rushed to purchase and stockpile fuel, causing a sudden surge in demand within a short period. However, after retail petrol and oil prices were adjusted on March 7, the stockpiling situation has eased.

The retail prices of petrol and mazut 180CST 3.5S decreased slightly from 15:00 on November 6, following the latest adjustment by the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Finance announced increases in retail petrol prices, effective from 3:00 pm on August 28.

Viet Nam slightly raised retail petrol prices while cutting diesel rates from 3pm on August 21, as the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT) and Ministry of Finance rolled out their latest adjustment to keep pace with global markets.

The retail prices of petrol increased slightly from 3pm on August 7, following the latest adjustment by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Finance.

Domestic petrol prices increased slightly while the price of diesel reduced from 15:00 on July 31 following the latest price adjustment by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Finance.

Fuel prices were slashed by over 1,000 VND per litre across the board on September 12.
