Viet Nam is seeking international expertise and cooperation to support the development of its pilot cryptocurrency market, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Van Thang told Ben Zhou, co-founder and CEO of Bybit – one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges based in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

According to numerous international reports, Viet Nam consistently ranks among the countries with the highest rates of digital asset ownership and usage worldwide. This provides an important social foundation for piloting tokenised asset models linked to real-world assets.

As the Government issues Resolution No. 05 on piloting the crypto-asset market, a pivotal moment is opening up for the digital economy and corporate governance reform. Digital assets are emerging as an important component of the digital economy. However, for them to truly generate momentum, a transparent, trustworthy playing field and a comprehensive legal framework are essential.

A draft resolution on piloting a crypto asset market is being completed. Viet Nam will pilot a crypto asset exchange at the international financial centre, creating a breakthrough in financial technology market integration and development.
