As part of the digital transformation cooperation programme between the Government Office of Viet Nam and the French Embassy in Viet Nam, a delegation of French digital transformation experts held its working session with the Digital Transformation Department under the Government Office on June 30, launching a four-day working visit to Viet Nam that will run until July 3.

The Ministry of Public Security, in coordination with the Ministry of Science and Technology, hosted an international conference in Ha Noi on June 5 to exchange experiences on Estonia’s digital citizenship strategy as Viet Nam is advancing towards a digital government, digital economy and digital society.

Viet Nam remains firmly committed to being a proactive, active and responsible member of ASEAN’s digital cooperation, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed while addressing the opening ceremony of the 6th ASEAN Digital Ministers' Meeting (ADGMIN 6) and related meetings in Ha Noi on January 15.

Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung has signed a decision approving the Digital Government Development Programme, setting a roadmap to build a fully digital state apparatus by 2030.

Viet Nam’s 2024 Digital Transformation Index (DTI) reached 0.7955, up 8.6% from 0.7326 in 2023, according to the Ministry of Science and Technology (MST).
