The strong recovery of international tourism and the rapid growth of e-commerce are bringing Vietnam into a new cycle of cross-border money flows.
Viet Nam currently has nearly 138 million financial cards, including debit and credit cards, demonstrating the enormous potential for Visa card transactions. Parallel to this growth, however, is the challenge of ensuring data security at a time when cybercrime is increasing rapidly.
Digital transformation and the development of cashless payments are becoming key pillars of the digital economy. Viet Nam’s national target is for 80% of adults to have bank accounts by 2025, with each transaction completed by a single “touch”, which would change consumer habits and shift the economy towards transparency, modernity, and sustainability.
