Infographic: Domestic gold prices remain unchanged on June 24

Global gold prices fell sharply on June 24, trading at 4,075 USD per ounce as the US dollar stayed at its highest level of the year and the possibility of an interest rate hike by the US Federal Reserve (Fed) remained. In the domestic market, gold prices across brands were almost unchanged. SJC gold bar was quoted at 144-147 million VND per tael for buying and selling.

Global gold prices reversed course and cooled down on January 17, falling to 4,595.4 USD per ounce due to short-term profit-taking by investors after the precious metal repeatedly reached historical highs. Domestically, SJC gold bar and ring prices continued to remain high, traded at 162.8 million VND per tael and 159.7 million VND per tael, respectively.

Global gold prices on November 20 fell significantly, trading at 4,063.5 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars and SJC gold rings simultaneously reversed downward, each falling by nearly 1 million VND per tael, and were listed at 150.3 million VND per tael and 148.4 million VND per tael, respectively.

Viet Nam’s consumer price index (CPI) rose 3.27% year-on-year in the first ten months of 2025, while core inflation increased 3.2%, the National Statistics Office (NSO) under the Ministry of Finance reported on November 6.
