Global gold prices reversed course and cooled down on January 17, falling to 4,595.4 USD per ounce due to short-term profit-taking by investors after the precious metal repeatedly reached historical highs. Domestically, SJC gold bar and ring prices continued to remain high, traded at 162.8 million VND per tael and 159.7 million VND per tael, respectively.

Global gold prices on December 23 rose to a record high, trading at around 4,483.4 USD/ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bar and SJC gold ring prices continued their strong increasing momentum. SJC gold bars were listed at 159 million VND/tael, while SJC gold rings climbed to 155.6 million VND/tael.

Global gold prices on November 25 reversed sharply upwards, trading at 4,144.4 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars and rings both climbed by 2.5 million VND per tael, quoted at 152.9 million VND per tael and 151 million VND per tael, respectively.

Global gold prices on November 20 fell significantly, trading at 4,063.5 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars and SJC gold rings simultaneously reversed downward, each falling by nearly 1 million VND per tael, and were listed at 150.3 million VND per tael and 148.4 million VND per tael, respectively.

Viet Nam’s consumer price index (CPI) rose 3.27% year-on-year in the first ten months of 2025, while core inflation increased 3.2%, the National Statistics Office (NSO) under the Ministry of Finance reported on November 6.

Global gold prices on October 1 continued their upward momentum, reaching 3,859 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars set a new record, trading at 138 million VND per tael, while gold rings also hit a historic peak of 134.1 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices on September 26 rose slightly to 3,739 USD per ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bars were traded at 134.5 million VND per tael, while SJC gold rings fell to 131 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices continued their upward momentum on September 16, trading at a record 3,678.9 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, both SJC bars and SJC rings surged, quoted at 132 million VND per tael and 129 million VND per tael, respectively.

On September 14, global gold prices rose further, trading at 3,643.4 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, SJC bars and SJC rings remained unchanged from yesterday, listed at 131.1 million VND per tael and 128 million VND per tael, respectively.

Global gold prices plunged on September 11, trading at 3,629.3 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, both SJC bars and SJC rings fell sharply, listed at 134.8 million VND per tael and 129.9 million VND per tael, respectively.

Global gold prices soared to a new all-time high on September 6, trading at more than 3,587 USD per ounce. Domestically, prices of SJC gold bars and rings also continued to hit new record highs, trading at 135.4 million VND per tael and 130.2 million VND per tael, respectively.

On August 29, global gold prices surpassed 3,400 USD per ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bars hit a new peak, trading close to 129 million VND per tael, while SJC gold rings rose to 123.1 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices on August 25 edged down to 3,365.3 USD per ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bars have continuously hit new record highs, trading close to 127 million VND per tael, while SJC rings rose to 121.3 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices on August 22 saw a slight decrease to 3,332.2 USD per ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bars remained at a record high of 125.4 million VND per tael, while SJC gold rings traded at 120 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices on August 17 recorded a slight increase, trading at 3,335.94 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars remained stable, holding high at 124.5 million VND per tael for selling. In the same trend, SJC gold rings held steady, trading at 119.1 million VND per tael.

The global gold prices on August 9 continued its upward trend, trading at 3,397.6 USD per ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bars and SJC gold rings remained at historic peak levels, listed respectively at 124.4 million VND per tael and 119.8 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices on August 7 saw a slight decline, trading at 3,375.5 USD per ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bars and rings continued to hold at high levels, listed at 123.8 million VND per tael and 119.3 million VND per tael, respectively.

Global gold prices on July 25 declined to 3,360 USD per ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bar prices remained unchanged, trading at 121.7 million VND per tael, while SJC gold rings also held steady at 117.5 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices on July 23 surged to a five-week high, exceeding 3,400 USD per ounce, reaffirming the enduring appeal of gold in recent months. Domestically, SJC gold bars rose to 122.7 million VND per tael, while SJC gold rings increased by 500,000 VND to reach 118 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices continued to rise compared to July 17, quoted around 3,350 USD per ounce by late afternoon on July 18. In the domestic market, SJC gold bar prices also rose, trading at 121 million VND per tael; while SJC gold rings remained unchanged, listed at 116.7 million VND per tael.
