Global gold prices on October 8 continued to surge, officially surpassing the 4,000 USD per ounce mark. Following the skyrocketing global trend, domestic gold prices have been rising by the hour. On the afternoon of October 8, SJC gold bars jumped to 142.5 million VND per tael, up 1.9 million VND compared to the previous session’s close. SJC gold rings were sold at 139.5 million VND per tael, an increase of 1.8 million VND from the previous session.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed an official dispatch on strengthening measures to stimulate domestic consumption, towards achieving the national economic growth target of over 8% in 2025 amid slowing global trade and investment and rising risks affecting national socio-economic development.
