The 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) solemnly opened at the National Convention Centre in Ha Noi on January 20 morning.

In the Draft Political Report of the 13th Party Central Committee submitted to the 14th National Party Congress, for the first time, the Party has identified the “theory on the renewal pathway” as a constituent part of its ideological foundation. This marks a groundbreaking development in the Party’s theoretical thinking.

National Assembly deputy Nguyen Quang Huan from Ho Chi Minh City has stressed the need for a radical and synchronised transformation in the growth model, economic restructuring, and effective promotion of new development driver while giving feedback to the draft Political Report to be submitted to the upcoming 14th National Party Congress.

The draft documents for the 14th National Party Congress need to affirm clearly that breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation are not only general directions, but must be positioned in direct connection with the ultimate goal of promoting economic growth, improving labour productivity, and addressing urgent national issues.

The Party Central Committee (Term XIII) has released the full draft documents to be submitted to the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam for public feedback from cadres, Party members, and the people.
