A series of cultural and tourism activities themed “Highland rendezvous” will take place from April 30 to May 3 at the Viet Nam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism in Ha Noi, offering visitors a glimpse into the cultures of ethnic groups in the northern mountainous region.

As spring arrives, the border villages and hamlets of Son La are filled with the pink and pristine white blossoms of peach trees… This is also the time when border guards prepare for their annual mission: “bringing Tet (Lunar New Year festival) to the ethnic minorities in the border region.”

Dong Nai Province is home to 37 ethnic minority groups with a combined population of more than 421,000 people, accounting for over 9% of the province’s total population. Most of them live in the north-west of the province, particularly in border areas.
