Residents of Ho Chi Minh City will be able to travel free of charge on all 135 bus routes across the city from July 1 until the end of 2026 under a resolution approved by the City People's Council on June 19.

Ha Noi’s implementation of free bus fares within Ring Road 1 from July 1, 2026, contributes to supporting residents affected by the plan to restrict fossil fuel vehicles, creating conditions to promote the transition to green transportation and increase the use of public transport.
