Viet Nam and Switzerland have reaffirmed their determination to speed up negotiations on a free trade agreement (FTA) between Viet Nam and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), aiming to largely wrap up discussions during the 20th negotiation round in Ha Noi, officials said on March 16.

The European Commission (EC) has decided to provisionally implement the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR), despite legal challenges it may face. This move demonstrates the EU’s efforts to implement its strategy of diversifying partnerships, strengthening autonomy, and reinforcing supply chains.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed Decision No. 16/QD-TTg approving a plan to implement the Free Trade Agreement between Viet Nam and Israel (VIFTA), aiming to ensure the agreement is carried out fully and effectively.
