China will officially allow the import of fresh jackfruits from Viet Nam from June 1, 2026, according to an announcement issued by the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC).

According to the Department of Customs, Viet Nam’s fruit and vegetable export turnover in May 2025 was estimated at over 496 million USD, representing a 33.5% decrease compared to the same period in 2024.

A Vietnamese Lychee Week is taking place in London from June 17 to 24 to promote the tropical fruit to UK consumers, drawing interest from both the Vietnamese community and local residents.
