Following the “skyrocketing” trend of global gold prices, domestic gold also saw a broad increase this afternoon. As of the afternoon of January 5, SJC gold bars were trading at 157.1 million VND per tael, up 900,000 VND from this morning’s session and 4.3 million VND compared with yesterday’s closing price.

Global gold prices on December 26 remained stable at around 4,500 USD per ounce after consecutively reaching new record highs. Domestically, SJC gold bullion was trading at 159.2 million VND per tael, while gold ring prices rose to 156.1 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices continued their upward trend on December 24, trading at 4,493.9 USD/ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars rose further to a new record high of 159.2 million VND per tael, while gold rings were traded at 155.6 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices on December 22 climbed to 4,408.7 USD per ounce, the highest level ever recorded. Domestically, SJC gold bullion was also traded around a historic peak at 157.5 million VND per tael, while gold rings rose to 154.1 million VND per tael.

World gold price on December 18 fell slightly. Domestically, SJC gold bar price increased by 200,000 VND/tael, reaching 156.4 million VND/ tael; SJC gold ring price decreased by 100,000 VND/ tael, listed at 153.3 million VND/ tael.

Global gold prices on December 9 decrease slightly to 4,203.1 USD per ounce as markets await further interest rate signals from the US Federal Reserve (FED). In the domestic market, SJC gold bars fall marginally to 153.7 million VND per tael, while gold rings are traded at 151.3 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices on December 4 edged down to 4,191.3 USD per ounce amid a wave of profit-taking by investors. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars simultaneously decreased to 153.8 million VND per tael, while SJC gold rings were listed at 151.9 million VND per tael.

World gold prices on November 28 decreased slightly to 4,171.1 USD/ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bar prices increased by 800,000 VND to trade at 154.2 million VND/tael, while gold rings increased by 700,000 VND to 151.9 million VND/tael.

Global gold prices on November 14 fell to 4,113.4 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars and SJC gold rings also declined in line with global prices, trading at 153.2 million VND per tael and 151.2 million VND per tael respectively.

Global gold prices on November 6 rebounded to 3,987.3 USD per ounce as a wave of buying emerged amid rising safe-haven demand and a weakening US dollar. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars and rings both increased, quoted at 147.8 million VND and 145.2 million VND per tael, respectively.

Global gold prices rose on October 23 as investors rushed to bottom-fish after the precious metal had dropped by several hundred USD in recent days, trading at 4,123.6 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars and rings both reversed course, each increasing by around one million VND per tael, and were listed at 149.5 million VND per tael and 148.7 million VND per tael, respectively.
