Domestically, gold prices also increased significantly in line with global trends; SJC gold bars were sold at 175 million VND per tael, up by 3 million VND compared to the close of the previous weekend.

Global gold prices posted a second straight week of gains following a sharp decline, closing the week at 4,676 USD per ounce. Most analysts expect prices to move sideways, while retail investors remain optimistic about the precious metal’s short-term outlook. Meanwhile, SJC gold bars ended the week at 174.5 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices on April 3 fell to USD 4,676.1 per ounce but continued their weekly upward trend, recording a 3% increase and remaining above the USD 4,600 per ounce mark. Meanwhile, domestic gold prices rose across the board, with the selling price reaching VND 174.5 million per tael.

Global gold prices continued their recovery on the afternoon of March 30, trading at around 4,532 USD per ounce. Meanwhile, domestic gold prices — both bullion and gold rings — rose slightly, with selling prices reaching 173.8 million VND per tael and 173.6 million VND per tael, respectively.

World gold prices on March 24 rebounded after a period of steep decline, trading at 4,407.2 USD/ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars and SJC gold rings simultaneously increased in line with global prices, listed at 167.2 million VND/tael and 170.2 million VND/tael, respectively.

World gold prices on March 19 continued to fall sharply, trading at 4,710.5 USD/ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bars and gold rings also dropped significantly in line with global prices, listed at 172.5 million VND/tael and 175.5 million VND/tael respectively.

World gold prices on March 14 continued to decline amid a stronger US dollar and rising inflation concerns, trading at 5,021.2 USD/ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars and gold rings fell simultaneously in line with global prices, listed at 179.6 million VND/tael and 182.6 million VND/tael, respectively.

World gold prices on February 27 moved sideways, trading at 5,178.4 USD per ounce as investors continued to take profits after prices had risen above 5,200 USD per ounce. Domestically, gold prices of many brands declined after the God of Wealth Day. SJC gold bars and gold rings of many brands are being sold at 184 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices on February 2 continued their steep downward trend, trading around 4,278.5 USD per ounce. Domestically, prices of SJC gold bars and SJC gold rings also continued to “plunge” in line with global developments, trading at 163 million VND per tael and 166 million VND per tael, respectively.

On 28 January, both domestic and global gold prices surged sharply, surpassing all previously recorded records. During the morning session, the price of SJC gold bars in Vietnam rose by 4.1 million VND per tael and continued to increase by a further 2.8 million VND in the afternoon, pushing prices up to 184.2 million VND per tael — the highest level ever recorded.

Global gold prices on January 23 surged to a new record high of 4,913.2 USD/ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bar prices climbed to a new peak of 172.2 million VND/tael, while gold ring prices reached 170.8 million VND/tael.

Global gold prices on January 13 reversed slightly lower to 4,591.5 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, prices of SJC gold bars and SJC gold rings continued to hold firm at historic highs, quoted at 162 million VND per tael and 159 million VND per tael, respectively.

The Government has issued Decree No. 340/2025/ND-CP on administrative penalties in the monetary and banking sector, set to take effect on February 9, 2026.

Global gold prices continued their upward trend on December 24, trading at 4,493.9 USD/ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars rose further to a new record high of 159.2 million VND per tael, while gold rings were traded at 155.6 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices on December 22 climbed to 4,408.7 USD per ounce, the highest level ever recorded. Domestically, SJC gold bullion was also traded around a historic peak at 157.5 million VND per tael, while gold rings rose to 154.1 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices today (December 19) edged down slightly to 4,325.6 USD/ounce after a series of recent gains. Domestically, SJC gold bullion is trading at 156.4 million VND/tael, while gold rings remain unchanged at 153.3 million VND/tael.

Viet Nam gold price tumbled on December 16 amid a global decline. Saigon Jewelry Company gold bar were quoted at 156.2 million VND per tael, while SJC gold rings fell to 153.4 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices on December 9 decrease slightly to 4,203.1 USD per ounce as markets await further interest rate signals from the US Federal Reserve (FED). In the domestic market, SJC gold bars fall marginally to 153.7 million VND per tael, while gold rings are traded at 151.3 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices on December 4 edged down to 4,191.3 USD per ounce amid a wave of profit-taking by investors. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars simultaneously decreased to 153.8 million VND per tael, while SJC gold rings were listed at 151.9 million VND per tael.
