An exhibition titled “National Assembly of Viet Nam – 80 Years of Construction and Development” opened at the National Library of Viet Nam in Ha Noi on January 5 to mark the 80th anniversary of the first general election (January 6, 1946 – 2026).

Thirty years after joining the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), having held the rotating chairmanship three times, in 1998, 2010 and 2020, Viet Nam has been recognised as a model of successful reform and integration.
