Con Dao on February 10 welcomed its first international cruise ship in 2026, signalling a promising start for the island’s tourism sector this year.

Viet Nam’s tourism sector marked a milestone year in 2025, with international arrivals reaching nearly 21.2 million, up more than 20.4% from 2024 and the highest level on record, highlighting the sector’s strong recovery.

Favourable visa policies, intensified tourism promotion programmes, activities celebrating major national holidays, and the signing ceremony of the UN Convention against Cybercrime (Ha Noi Convention) held in Ha Noi on October 25–26 have attracted a large number of international visitors to Viet Nam.
