A joint civil defence exercise involving the militaries of Viet Nam, Laos and Cambodia took place at Brigade 249 of the Engineer Corps in Ha Noi on October 14.

A delegation from the Ministry of National Defence led by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang, Party Central Committee Member, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, and Deputy Minister of National Defence, has inspected the preparations for the 2026 joint civil defence exercise among the militaries of Viet Nam, Laos, and Cambodia.
