Vietnamese Ambassador to Greece Pham Thi Thu Huong has underscored Viet Nam’s desire to expedite the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on labour cooperation with Greece, aimed at creating a clear legal framework for collaboration, and ensuring worker protection in line with both countries’ regulations.

Acknowledging Germany’s serious challenges stemming from population ageing and an acute shortage of skilled workers, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Vu Chien Thang has emphasised that labour cooperation between Viet Nam and Germany is strategically complementary and mutually beneficial.

The PM suggested the two sides develop new orientations for Viet Nam – Laos cooperation in labour and national contributor affairs suited to the evolving context, paving the way for the signing of an agreement in this field to deepen and expand collaboration in the areas within their remit.

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier expressed satisfaction with the positive results of bilateral cooperation across multiple areas, including trade, investment, defence, education, health care, and labour cooperation.

Viet Nam and Japan have reaffirmed their commitment and desire to elevate cooperation in human resources and labour development between the two countries to new heights.
