Viet Nam has extended its deep condolences over the passing of Lao Politburo member and National Assembly President Xaysomphone Phomvihane.

The Central Committee of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV), the National Assembly, the State President, the Government, and the Central Committee of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front have issued a special communiqué on the passing of Politburo member and President of the National Assembly of Laos Xaysomphone Phomvihane.

Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man will lead a high-ranking Vietnamese Party and State delegation to Laos on August 9 to pay respects to Lao National Assembly President Xaysomphone Phomvihane, who passed away on August 8.
