To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Viet Nam, together with his spouse and a high-ranking Vietnamese delegation, has successfully concluded a state visit to Laos, which included attending a ceremony marking the 50th National Day of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, and co-chairing the high-level meeting between the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) and the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP).

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son held talks with Acting Head of the External Relations Commission of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee Bounleua Phandanouvong on June 2 as part of his official visit to Viet Nam.
