Party General Secretary To Lam chaired a meeting of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat in Ha Noi on February 24 to review a report on key issues in implementing the Secretariat’s Directive No. 55 on organising the Lunar New Year (Tet) celebrations, during which he urged the entire political system to immediately return to work at full pace without delay.

Khanh Hoa’s fishing fleet refurbished for Tet: Hopes riding on a new season

At year’s end, as the tides ebb and settle, fishermen along the southern coast of Khanh Hoa Province bring their boats back to harbour. After a year battling wind and waves, the sun- and salt-weathered vessels are hauled onto the slips for maintenance, repair and repainting — a familiar ritual to welcome Lunar New Year (Tet) and place faith in the new sea season ahead.

PM pays pre-Tet visit to northern border Cao Bang province

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on January 16 visited and presented gifts to local armed forces, policy beneficiary families, revolutionary beneficiaries and the needy in the northern province of Cao Bang on the threshold of the Lunar New Year (Tet), the most important and longest festival of Vietnamese people in a year.
