The National Assembly Standing Committee on August 17 reviewed a report on feedback and revisions to the draft Law on Urban Development. Minister of Justice Hoang Thanh Tung also provided additional clarification on several articles in the bill.
The National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee on July 14 reviewed the draft Law amending and supplementing several articles of the Law on the State Bank of Viet Nam (SBV), the Law on Anti-Money Laundering, and the Law on Credit Organisations, with the proposed legislation set to be submitted to the 16th NA’s first extraordinary session under an expedited legislative process.
The draft ordinance fully revises and adds rules for first-instance hearings that decide whether to send drug-dependent minors to compulsory rehabilitation facilities, as well as for appellate hearings that handle complaints, recommendations and protests against those decisions.
Chairman Man said the committee will discuss a slate of important issues in preparation for the 16th NA’s first extraordinary session set for early August, review preparations for the second regular session later this year, and take up other matters under its purview.
