Three traditional festivals in Quang Tri Province have recently been recognised as national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has officially included the Thak Con Festival—also known as the Coconut Offering Festival of the Khmer ethnic community in An Hiep Commune, Chau Thanh District, Soc Trang Province—on Viet Nam’s list of national intangible cultural heritage.
According to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, eleven new elements have been added to the national intangible cultural heritage list, including the Yen Sao Festival and the traditional knowledge of harvesting and processing agarwood in Khanh Hoa Province.
