Deputy Minister of National Defence Sen. Lt. Gen. Nguyen Van Gau has called for continued efforts to search for, recover and identify the remains of fallen soldiers, describing the work as a special political mission and a responsibility to the Party, State, people and fallen heroes.

The Ho Chi Minh City Military Command on June 9 announced the establishment of a specialised force tasked with searching for and recovering the remains of fallen soldiers as part of the national “500-day campaign” on martyrs’ remains search, repatriation and identification.
