The National target programme on new-style rural area development has made a significant impact on the socio-economic life of tens of millions of rural residents. This achievement stems from the effective mobilisation and utilisation of resources—from the state budget to public contributions, businesses, and social organisations.

The Central Coordination Office for New-Style Rural Development reported that more than 6,000 out of nearly 7,700 communes nationwide (equivalent to 78.7%) have met the criteria for new-style rural communes.
