The Viet Nam OCOP Viet Nam Festival 2025 officially opened at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel in Ha Noi on December 20, underscoring strong coordination and determination from both central and local authorities in advancing the One Commune, One Product (OCOP) programme.

It also marks one of the most ambitious social-development commitments of the coming decade, with State budget resources of about 423 trillion VND (16.05 billion USD) allocated for 2026–2030 alone.

Outstanding farmers and agricultural scientists of 2025 were honoured at a ceremony held in Ha Noi on October 14, in celebration of the 95th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam Farmers’ Union (October 14, 1930–2025).

At present, many localities nationwide have completed the task of building new-style rural areas, contributing to the creation of liveable rural communities. Entering a new stage, the Party and the state have defined a higher level of development for modern and smart new-style rural areas.

Agriculture has affirmed its role as an important pillar of the economy, helping build an independent and self-reliant economy with active, intensive, and effective integration into the world and bring a prosperous and happy life to people, according to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
