The East–West Economic Corridor running through Viet Nam’s North Central Region is opening up significant opportunities for logistics and international trade development. However, localities in the region have yet to fully capitalise on this potential, as bottlenecks in infrastructure and institutions continue to constrain cross-border trade flows.

Every spring, the North Central region resonates with the vibrant sounds of festival drums, folk songs, and rhythmic processions. In recent years, alongside efforts to highlight each locality’s unique strengths, the provinces of Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, and Ha Tinh have joined forces to strengthen connections and create an impressive “cultural journey”.

Heavy rain may occur in certain places in the northeastern and north-central regions on October 13 afternoon and night, posing risks of flash floods, landslides, and inundation, said the National Centre for Hydro-meteorological Forecasting (NCHF).
