The recent official visit to Viet Nam by Vilay Lakhamphong, Politburo member and Standing Member of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee’s Secretariat provides additional motivation for both sides to turn high-level commitments into tangible benefits for the people of both countries, said Deputy Foreign Minister Nguyen Manh Cuong.

A delegation of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV) led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hoang Phuc Lam, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, attended an international conference themed "Political parties and a new society" in Mexico City from October 6-8, sharing Viet Nam’s development experience and promoting dialogue and cooperation among progressive political forces.

Politburo member and Permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Tran Cam Tu on August 5 called for stronger efforts to renew thinking and improve the effectiveness of Party diplomacy and people-to-people diplomacy, contributing more to the country’s rapid and sustainable development.

Party diplomacy serves as the key political foundation guiding the overall Viet Nam-Cuba relationship, Politburo member and Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung and his Cuban counterpart Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, reaffirmed at their talks in Hanoi on February 2.
