Party General Secretary and State President To Lam hailed early-year outcomes achieved by the people’s public security force during a conference of the Central Public Security Party Committee in Ha Noi on June 24.

Party General Secretary To Lam has stressed the need for the People’s Public Security force to ensure unified awareness of the high requirements in protecting the Party, the political system, and national security in the new revolutionary stage, emphasising that the country must not be caught strategically unprepared under any circumstances.

At a meeting of the Ministry of Public Security on November 4, 2025, General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo Member, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, and Minister of Public Security, launched the “Three Foremosts” emulation campaign across the entire People’s Public Security force. The initiative, comprising 21 key areas, focuses on being “Foremost in Discipline – Foremost in Loyalty – Foremost in Close Attachment to the People.”

PM Chinh praised the People’s Public Security Force for demonstrating its “three pioneering roles” and “three exemplary qualities” in implementing the Party’s guidelines, and the State's policies and laws.

The book is a work of profound theoretical and practical value, reflecting General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s consistent concern for ensuring national security, social order and safety, and for firmly safeguarding the Fatherland.

Party General Secretary To Lam requested the People’s Public Security force to exert efforts to make breakthroughs and achieve new accomplishments for the Party, for the nation, and for the people while addressing the 8th Congress of the Central Public Security Party Organisation for the 2025 – 2030 term on October 4.

The leaders of the Party, National Assembly and Government always believe that with 80 years of proud and heroic tradition, solidarity and unity, the People's Public Security Force will fulfil all assigned tasks with excellence, worthy of being an important, trusted and absolutely loyal armed force of the Party, State and people.

The Vietnamese Embassy in China, in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Security’s Representative Office, has held a ceremony in Beijing to commemorate the 80th anniversaries of the August Revolution, the People’s Public Security force (August 19, 1945–2025), and the founding of Viet Nam’s diplomatic sector (August 28, 1945–2025).

Party General Secretary To Lam highlighted eight lessons learned from the 80 years of building, fighting, and growing of the People’s Public Security Force, while meeting with retired high-ranking public security officers on August 16 on the occasion of the 80th traditional day of the People's Public Security Force (August 19, 1945 – 2025) and the 20th All People's Security Safeguard Festival (August 19, 2005 - 2025).

Party General Secretary To Lam met with outstanding representatives of the People’s Public Security Force at the 9th patriotic emulation congress “For the Fatherland's security” in Ha Noi on August 4, emphasising that the emulation spirit starts from each individual’s mindset, dedication, and daily affairs.

Drug prevention and control activities must be put under the leadership and direction of the Party Committees and administration at all levels, especially the grassroots level, with the People’s Public Security force playing the key role but not the only force in the work, said Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh at an online conference on drug prevention and control on March 10.
