Tran Phong, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the central province of Khanh Hoa, and Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, has received the Politburo's decision approving him as Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Party Committee for the 2025–2030 term.

The 56th session of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee will take place over one and a half days, from the afternoon of April 1 to 2, with personnel work high on the agenda, according to the NA Office.

Ensuring that State power truly belongs to the people, with the leadership of the Communist Party of Viet Nam serving as the decisive factor, remains the guiding principle for organising the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly (NA) and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 tenure.

Personnel consolidation carried out at the NA's 10th session helps ensure continuous, unified, effective, and efficient leadership of the state apparatus; guarantee smooth and uninterrupted direction and governance; and prevent any leadership gaps in critical areas. All positions elected or approved by the legislature meet the key criteria required within the organisational structure.
