Coffee and durian are two “pillars” of agricultural exports, generating “billion-dollar” revenues and providing livelihoods for millions of Vietnamese farmers. However, behind their impressive results, these two sectors face numerous challenges related to controlling pesticide residues and heavy metals. To develop sustainably, the sectors need a more systematic management strategy.
