Politburo Resolution 27, dated August 28, 2026, on regional development and the organisation of national development space in the new period, sets out the requirement to restructure, manage, and effectively utilise regional development space in tandem with the broader national framework.

The merger of the former Dak Lak Province and Phu Yen Province into the new Dak Lak Province is expected to create a powerful “boost,” bringing a new space for development and better exploiting the potential and advantages of each locality.
