Prof. Dr. Tran Hong Thai, President of the Viet Nam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST), has held a working session with leaders of Russia’s State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom and leading Russian scientific and training partners at the National University of Science and Technology MISIS (NUST MISIS).

During his meeting with Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev, PM Hung expressed his sincere thanks for the cooperation, support, and significant contributions of Rosatom and the Russian side to the development of Viet Nam's atomic energy sector over the past four decades.

Russian media on March 23 gave extensive coverage to the official visit to the Russian Federation by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh from March 22–25, highlighting key activities and agreements reached during the trip.

Rosatom will transfer technology, localise nuclear components, and support the development of Viet Nam’s nuclear science and industry to ensure the peaceful use of nuclear energy and contribute to socio-economic development.
