At the recently held meeting of the Central Steering Committee on Science, Technology Development and Innovation, General Secretary and President To Lam proposed a separate mechanism suitable for social sciences and humanities; aiming towards 2045, building a social sciences and humanities foundation capable of providing arguments for modern national governance and national development in the new era.

An exhibition entitled “Contributions of Vietnamese scientists to the cause of nation-building and defence” was launched at the Heritage Park of Vietnamese Scientists in Phu Tho Province on August 16.

On August 6, at the Headquarters of the Party Central Committee, Party General Secretary To Lam and other Party and State leaders chaired a meeting with representatives of intellectuals, scientists, and artists, to mark the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution's success (August 19, 1945 – August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam (September 2, 1945 – September 2, 2025).

Three Vietnamese have been named in a list of 1,000 leading global scientists in terms of research publications over the last 13 years.
