Global gold prices on January 8 reversed course and fell sharply, trading at 4,422.8 USD/ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bars remained unchanged, listed at 157.2 million VND/tael, while gold rings continued their upward trend, trading at 154.9 million VND/tael.

Gold prices on January 6 saw SJC gold bars continue to rise at the start of the trading session, pushing the buying–selling range to 156 million–158 million VND per tael, up 900,000 VND per tael on both the buying and selling sides compared with yesterday’s listed prices.

Global gold prices continued their upward trend on December 24, trading at 4,493.9 USD/ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars rose further to a new record high of 159.2 million VND per tael, while gold rings were traded at 155.6 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices today (December 19) edged down slightly to 4,325.6 USD/ounce after a series of recent gains. Domestically, SJC gold bullion is trading at 156.4 million VND/tael, while gold rings remain unchanged at 153.3 million VND/tael.

Global gold prices on December 9 decrease slightly to 4,203.1 USD per ounce as markets await further interest rate signals from the US Federal Reserve (FED). In the domestic market, SJC gold bars fall marginally to 153.7 million VND per tael, while gold rings are traded at 151.3 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices on December 4 edged down to 4,191.3 USD per ounce amid a wave of profit-taking by investors. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars simultaneously decreased to 153.8 million VND per tael, while SJC gold rings were listed at 151.9 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices on November 21 continued to decline, slipping to 4,056.2 USD/ounce as investors awaited further information on US Federal Reserve (FED) interest rates expected in December. Domestically, SJC gold bars and SJC gold rings also extended their downward trend, trading at 149.8 million VND/tael and 147.9 million VND/tael respectively.

World gold prices on November 18 continued their downward trend due to the stronger USD and the market gradually reducing expectations that the FED will cut interest rates next month, trading at 4,040.6 USD/ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bars and gold rings reversed sharply, traded at 149.3 million VND/tael and 147.3 million VND/tael, respectively.

Global gold prices on November 14 fell to 4,113.4 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars and SJC gold rings also declined in line with global prices, trading at 153.2 million VND per tael and 151.2 million VND per tael respectively.

World gold prices on November 8 continued to increase slightly to 4,001.1 USD/ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bars and gold rings remained stable, trading at 148.4 million VND/tael and 145.8 million VND/tael, respectively.

Global gold prices on November 4 fell to 3,973.6 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, both SJC gold bars and SJC gold rings dropped in line with global trends, quoted respectively at 148.2 million VND per tael and 145.9 million VND per tael.

Global gold prices on October 27 extended their downward trend following a week of decline, trading around 4,075 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars fell to about 148.9 million VND per tael, while ring gold traded close to that level, at around 148.3 million VND per tael.

Following the sharp downturn in global gold prices, domestic gold prices in Viet Nam also fell across the board on October 24. In the afternoon session, SJC gold bars traded at 149.2 million VND per tael, while gold rings were priced at 148.6 million VND per tael — down 1.3 million VND per tael from the morning session and 1 million VND per tael compared to the previous day’s close.

Global gold prices on October 20 rebounded to 4,310 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars rose to 151.5 million VND per tael, while gold rings traded at 150.2 million VND per tael, remaining unchanged from the end of last week.

Global gold prices continued to rise on October 15, reaching 4,206 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars set a new record, trading at 148.0 million VND per tael, while gold rings nearly matched the bar price at 146.4 million VND per tael.

On the afternoon of October 13, global gold prices surged sharply around 4,075 USD per ounce. In the domestic market, SJC gold bars set a new record at 144.1 million VND per tael (selling), while SJC gold rings climbed to 141.2 million VND per tael (selling).

Global gold prices on October 9 showed no sign of stopping its rise due to investors' concerns about geopolitical risks and increasing global economic fluctuations, trading at 4,041.1 USD per ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bars and rings remained at record highs, traded at 142.5 million VND per tael and 139.5 million VND per tael, respectively.

The global gold prices on October 4 continued to rise to record levels, trading at 3,886.7 USD per ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bars and rings increased by 800,000 VND per tael, listed at 138.6 million VND/tael and 135.1 million VND/tael, respectively.

Gold prices on the afternoon of October 3 continued to record a decline in SJC gold. Accordingly, most jewellery companies adjusted SJC gold bar prices down by 200,000 VND per tael in both buying and selling, bringing SJC gold bar prices to around 135.8 million VND per tael (buying) and 137.8 million VND per tael (selling).

On September 30, global gold prices surged to a record high of 3,807.8 USD per ounce. Domestically, SJC gold bars and rings simultaneously set new peaks, quoted at 134.8 million VND per tael and 136.8 million VND per tael, respectively.
