Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has issued a directive urging ministries, sectors and localities to swiftly resume work after the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday, focusing on facilitating production and growth, and ensuring stability, security and social welfare amid complex global developments.

The year 2026 is a pivotal year marking the beginning of a new development phase for the social security system. Therefore, it is necessary to continue maintaining growth momentum and expanding coverage of social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance, towards the goal of a sustainable and inclusive social security system.

The Viet Nam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) is reducing the lending interest rates for its credit programmes to support the people in overcoming difficulties and stabilising their lives, effective from December 1, 2025.
