The National Assembly (NA) on October 29 devoted the entire day to assessing the implementation of the 2025 socio-economic development plan, outlining the plan for 2026, and reviewing the implementation of the National Assembly’s resolutions on the 2021–2025 five-year plans for socio-economic development and economic restructuring.

Viet Nam’s multidimensional poverty rate has fallen from 4.4% in 2021 to 1.3% in 2025, a decline of 3.1 percentage points over the five-year period, according to the Government’s Summary Report on the Implementation of the 2025 Socio-Economic Development Plan and the 2021–2025 Five-Year Plan, and the Draft 2026 Socio-Economic Development Plan.

The closing session of the 13th meeting of the 13th Party Central Committee took place on October 8 morning under the chair of Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man.
