The Embassy of Italy in Viet Nam held a workshop themed “Italian lifestyle and Slow Food Movement: Quality over Quantity” at Casa Italia – Italian country promotion centre in Ha Noi on May 6. This was one of activities held on the occasion of the 2026 “Made in Italy” National Day.

Modern agriculture is undergoing major transformations driven by technological applications. In this context, while fields, soil, water and crops remain traditional inputs, data infrastructure and software are increasingly seen as “invisible fertilisers” that enable agriculture to enter a new phase.

A new report calling for stronger policy support to promote sustainable agriculture in Viet Nam was unveiled in Ha Noi on March 20, offering a comprehensive snapshot of environmental, social and governance (ESG) practices across the sector.

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Viet Nam (BIDV) have signed a 250 million USD financing package to support sustainable and climate-resilient agriculture, while enhancing access to finance for women-owned small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Viet Nam.

PepsiCo Foundation has officially launched the Harvesting Potential  project, focusing on regenerative agriculture and climate resilience. Implemented over three years in the provinces of Dak Lak, Gia Lai, and Thanh Hoa, the project is set to directly support around 13,000 smallholder farmers, including 8,160 women and 5,440 men, with an indirect impact on over 73,000 people.

A workshop on Viet Nam’s development in economy, politics, society, environment, and agriculture over the past year was held on August 8 at the Crawford School of Public Policy under the Australian National University (ANU).
