Enhancing the role of developing countries

Amid the gradual emergence of a multipolar world, developing countries are becoming increasingly important factors in promoting multilateralism, mediating conflicts, and driving economic development. However, the member structure of the United Nations (UN) Security Council, the UN's top governing body, is considered not to fully reflect the role and contributions of developing countries to global peace and security.

Viet Nam strives for substantive outcome at NPT review conference

Ambassador Do Hung Viet, Permanent Representative of Viet Nam to the United Nations (UN), has held a meeting with Annalena Baerbock, President of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA), at the UN headquarters in New York to discuss the progress of the 11th Review Conference of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT RevCon), which is taking place from April 27 to May 22 in New York.​
