Politburo member, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and Chairman of the Central Theory Council Prof. Nguyen Xuan Thang held talks with Dr. Khamphanh Kheuyavong, head of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party (LPRP) Central Committee’s Propaganda and Training Commission and Chairman of the committee's Theory Council in Vientiane on December 4.

The Viet Nam News Agency (VNA) launched a photo exhibition on the Viet Nam – Laos great friendship, special solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic connectivity in Vientiane on December 3, within the framework of the Viet Nam–Laos Inter-Governmental Committee’s 48th meeting.

Ha Noi and Vientiane have agreed to further consolidate their comprehensive cooperation across all channels and fields, reaffirming their determination to deepen existing achievements while expanding cooperation into new areas.

The Lao government has approved a feasibility study for an expressway running from the capital Vientiane through the provinces of Xaysomboun, Xiengkhouang, and Houaphanh, to the Namsoi border gate bordering Viet Nam, to gradually upgrade the country’s national transportation infrastructure.
