Brand Finance — a leading global brand valuation consultancy headquartered in the United Kingdom — has ranked Viet Nam Airlines among the Top 10 strongest brands in Viet Nam in 2026. The airline is also the only representative of Viet Nam's aviation industry to appear in this ranking.

On June 1, as part of the Viet Nam–Philippines Business Forum held in Manila, the national flag carrier of Viet Nam exchanged cooperation agreements with several partners in the aviation, tourism, and trade sectors, under the witness of General Phan Van Giang, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence.

From July 1, Viet Nam Airlines will increase the frequency of its Ha Noi-Moscow (Russia) route to meet rising passenger demand. The addition of flights will be implemented flexibly in line with market developments, ensuring air connectivity between Viet Nam and international markets.

In response to the complex developments of the conflict situation in the Middle East, Viet Nam Airlines has proactively adjusted flight routes and flight operation plans between Viet Nam and Europe in order to avoid affected airspace, ensuring absolute safety for passengers and flight crews.

Viet Nam Airlines on November 23 officially inaugurated its new direct route linking Jakarta of Indonesia and Ha Noi of Viet Nam with the first flight departing from Soekarno–Hatta International Airport, serving the growing travel demand between the two countries amid increasingly bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.

Due to the impact of Typhoon Wipha (storm No. 3) in Hong Kong (China), Viet Nam Airlines Group — including Viet Nam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, and Vietnam Air Services Company (VASCO) — will adjust the operation plan of some flights to ensure the safety of passengers and crew.

National flag carrier Viet Nam Airlines on June 1 inaugurated a direct flight route between Ho Chi Minh City and Denpasar (DPS) - tourism capital of Bali, Indonesia, marking a strategic step to expand its Southeast Asian network.
