The 9th National Congress of the Viet Nam Farmers’ Union (VNFU) for the 2026–2031 term is being held at the National Convention Centre in Ha Noi on June 7–8.

In the nation’s new development era, the Viet Nam Farmers’ Union (VFU) is stepping up efforts to empower farmers and tap their creativity, contributing to the goal of building a strong, prosperous, civilised and happy country in line with orientations set by the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Viet Nam (CPV).

Outstanding farmers and agricultural scientists of 2025 were honoured at a ceremony held in Ha Noi on October 14, in celebration of the 95th founding anniversary of the Viet Nam Farmers’ Union (October 14, 1930–2025).

A representative of the Viet Nam Farmers’ Union expressed her hope that FAO will continue to accompany Viet Nam in promoting high-tech and environmentally friendly agriculture, delivering tangible benefits to farmers.

The seventh National Farmers’ Forum, themed “Professional Farmers” was held in Hanoi on September 12 by the Vietnam Farmers’ Union (VFU) Central Committee and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
