During the visit, officers and sailors of the two navies toured Frigate 015 and the RoK Navy’s Munmu the Great destroyer, shared experience in training and long-duration deployments at sea, and took part in sports exchanges. The VPN delegation also hosted a banquet aboard Frigate 015 for senior officers and sailors of the host navy.

Gen. Nguyen Tan Cuong highly valued the positive and fruitful cooperation between the Viet Nam People’s Navy and the JMSDF, saying that this has helped enhance professional skills and technical expertise while fostering friendship and mutual understanding between the two forces.

Before setting sail for the Republic of Korea on the next leg of its journey, Frigate 015-Tran Hung Dao conducted joint manoeuvring and at-sea communications exercises with JS Yamagiri.

Ships 09 and 17 of Brigade 171 under Naval Region 2 docked at the brigade’s port in Ho Chi Minh City’s Rach Dua ward on November 25, completing the 39th joint patrol in the Gulf of Tonkin between the Vietnamese and Chinese navies.
